Bridges to Health & Wellness for the Whole Person through Creative, Solution-Oriented Books
Submissions
WellBridge Books is interested in unpublished, completed manuscripts by qualified authors, over 60,000 words. You may send us a "preliminary" enquiry email about your book idea to determine our interest, however do not review manuscripts that are "in progress" or are incomplete.
Please note these parts of the book that should be completed before submitting any portions to us for review.

Step 2
Once your manuscript is in good order, please submit your query letter and proposal by email. Do not include attachments as they will not be opened. Include your summary/synopsis within your first email to us. We do not accept unsolicited paper copies. Authors or their agents may begin the submission process by following this numbered format below. If your file is large we will provide a dropbox for you.
1. Your name and contact information and a brief description about your writing experience, why you have written your book or the purpose of your publication. If this is your first book or you haven't been previously published, do not let that dissuade you from seeking interest in your book. Explain your vision and purpose in writing the book. Give us a short pitch!

3. Is your book completed as to the contents in 1 through 8 above?
4. What is the genre? Business, general? What categories do you see the book fitting into? Provide a synopsis describing the book's contents. (limit this synopsis to about 3 paragraphs or 220 (+ -) words.
5. How is your book different from others and what is better? What other currently published titles would you compare your book to? How will it benefit the reader?
6. Marketing your book is directly related to your personal goals, vision and purpose. Provide a summary of your target audience. Is your desire to have the book available for colleagues, family and friends? Sell on your own website to clients? Are you planning to hit it hard and engage speaking tours and book signings? What is your plan to reach your readers? Do you have a website, blog, LinkedIn or Twitter following? Are you currently speaking at events or have future events scheduled? If you speak at events, how many people usually attend? Who in your network will help you in marketing the book?
7. Provide a complete Table of Contents (detailed with short summary of each chapter and subheadings).
8. Provide the Introduction and Chapter One, Chapter Two and a random chapter from the middle or end of the book.
** Provide items 7 and 8 using Google Docs or deposit at Dropbox.com.
2. What is the title of your book? What is the word count? What timeline would you like to see in its release to the public? Or, is your book to be a promotional tool which will be used to enhance your current business? Are you planning the release to coincide with an important event?
Publishing a book is a collaborative undertaking between you and your publisher. Once we receive your email inquiry, the material you have sent us is reviewed. We will email you with questions and comments about the publication or book, either during the review process or when we are finished with the review. If the book or publication looks like it might be a good match, we will talk by phone to discuss your goals for the book and to help determine if we are a good fit. At this time, we will invite you to submit your full manuscript for review.

Once we review and approve your full manuscript and in advance of our written proposal, a non-disclosure (confidentiality) agreement must be signed by you and us. This agreement allows you to discuss any contract terms with your family and professional advisors (such as your attorney and accountants), but prevents disclosure of any negotiations, terms and advertising of the book with other third parties before agreements are signed.

Next, a written proposal is sent and reviewed by you (and your advisors, if you choose). The proposal is open for a period of time in order that any questions and terms can be discussed.

Once the proposal is accepted, we move forward to the contract stage. Contracts are the nuts and bolts of getting the book published and into the distributors' hands. Depending on your purpose and goals for the book and, therefore, the marketing plan put into place, the full book production cycle may take between two to eight months to get to final distribution. The later time frame of eight months is an estimate when advance copies are sent out for reviews. Because advance book marketing often requires up to 120 days to implement after the book is completed, a longer lead time is needed when a full marketing plan is developed.

When everyone is happy with the terms of the publishing contract, copies are signed, a toast the book's success is raised ...
